Biographical details
I was born in Nottingham Goldsmith Square and lived in Nottingham all my life and am very proud to do so being one of nine children. My father was a miner and mother a cleaner, they were hard up bringing in money short just like tens of thousands of other Nottingham people. I was educated at Elms School in St Anns and St Bernadettes in Sneinton. I met my husband when I was 16 and we have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. It is an honour to serve the people of Nottingham as a councillor and I was delighted to have been re-elected in the ward of Clifton South on Thursday 5 May 2011. I will always be contactable to the residents of Clifton and do my very best to solve any problems they come to me with.
I am also patron of the Mercian volunteers and supporter of the Nottinghamshire Fire Fighters' Memorial Appeal.
