Nottingham City Council are looking to recruit a range of roles to work on a new Selective Licensing scheme to improve the private rented sector for over 31,000 properties in Nottingham. As the Secretary of State has now confirmed our proposals the number and types of roles available within the team is really broad.
As we have over 31,000 privately rented properties we now need a whole new team of enthusiastic and self-motivated officers to help deliver our highly ambitious aims. As well as professional environmental health and enforcement officers, the team will include administrative support, supervisors and team leader, as well as dedicated officers to deal with landlord engagement, antisocial behaviour and tenancy issues.
Nottingham is a dynamic and popular city which is in an area of high housing demand, with a high percentage of privately rented houses many of which are not adequately maintained. We are determined to continue to improve the private rented sector in Nottingham, to reduce anti-social behaviour and drive up housing conditions. The Council has been successful in attracting rogue landlord funding on 2 occasions and already has an additional licensing scheme in place.
